Glucose Balance™ contains GlucoFit®, a specialized ingredient extracted from the herb Lagerstroemia speciosa, a small tree typically found in tropical Southern Asia. The leaves of Lagerstroemia speciosa produce corosolic acid, the main active ingredient in GlucoFit®. Scientific studies have documented corosolic acid's exceptional ability to help maintain a healthy glucose metabolism already within the normal range.*

This unique formula also contains Gymnema sylvestre, an herb native to the tropical forests of southern and central India where it has been used by Ayurvedic herbalists for nearly two millennia.

Cautions and Interactions

B Vitamins (thiamine and pantothenic acid) may interfere with the absorption and utilization of certain antibiotics, such as tetracycline and sulfa drugs. Also, B Vitamins may interact with some chemotherapy agents and they should only be used concurrently under the supervision of a physician.

Because many pharmaceutical medications increase the need for B Vitamins, it is advisable to consult your physician for details regarding these types of interactions. In addition, B Vitamins may affect the body's response to tricyclic antidepressants.

Chromium and Gymnema supplements may affect certain diabetes medications. Carefully monitor blood sugar levels if you are concurrently taking chromium and Gymnema with these medications.

Studies suggest that antacids, particularly those containing calcium carbonate, may reduce the body's ability to absorb chromium.
