SUGGESTED USAGE: As a dietary supplement, take 1 capsule 2 times a day, or as directed by your health care practitioner.

BENEFITS:  N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC) is a stable form of the amino acid L-Cysteine.  Cysteine is a sulfur-containing amino acid that acts as a stabilizer for the formation of protein structures.  Although NAC possesses its own antioxidant activity, its primary function in vivo is to supply cysteine necessary for GSH synthesis and replenishment.*  This unique formula also contains Molybdenum, an essential trace element that functions as a cofactor in many biochemical reactions, and Selenium, another trace mineral that supports glutathione production.*

Cautions and Interactions

NAC may interact with many pharmaceutical medications including ACE inhibitors.  In addition, although NAC may interact with nitroglycerin and isosorbide (two medications commonly used to treat chest pain), this combination may also increase the risk of side effects such as severe headaches and may lead to abnormally low blood pressure.  NAC may also interact with activated charcoal.
